bonjour sebastient et tout,
while reading the forums, english and french, i have noticed responses to some rather old threads. not that this is a bad thing, but if the personnel are no longer in the employee of delcampe, it proves to be embarrassing to me and perhaps the other delcampers. my proposed suggestion is to change the date font's color when the present date has changed beyond to the next day. does that make sense? e.g. - JULY 18, 2008 would be in red with any previous dates, and the present day JULY 19, 2008 would be in blue. simple enough. thank you for your consideration.

amities,
cajunsr.

Sebastian is very much like the fellow who cannot part with his beloved junk which fills up his attic, basement and garage. There are many things on this site that require paring..........wouldn't this conserve serve space and possibly make the whole system run even more smoothly and efficiently. For instance I have disputes in MY DELCAMPE file that are almost a year old............they are over, done with ,finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bonsoir nanook,

ah, remember the old beatles song "maxwell's hammer". one must be careful with what one wishes for. perhaps our requests are like 'one mans junk is another man's treasure.' :gna: :wink2:

Hi there Cajun et al... My wife and I moved house six years ago after sixteen years in our last place. During that time my garage became a treasure house of offcuts of wood - maple, oak, mahogany, beech, you name it. When we moved I was pressured into disposing of the whole lot (don't panic, I passed it on to an acquaintance who built model boats) so when we started doing up our new house guess what happened? Every time I needed a bit of wood for something I had to go out and buy it! I'm slowly restocking but this time it's with whole logs and tree trunks. I'm not going to get caught short again. EVER!

bonsoir xft,

at the prices of good hardwood today, you are wise to do so. i bought a lot of nice woodworking tools from sears to make my own furniture and had my son help me build a nice work shop to do it in. then he joined the army. i haven't made one piece yet. he stayed in for 9 years and started a family. now he has a house of his own. fortunately, the guy who owned it was a carpenter. so there are nice cabinets and workbenches already in his garage. i just might swap my stuff and put his in mine, and my tools in his garage. then we can make whatever we want. :wink2:
